Yes the great epic of all time “Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta”

As a kid I used to literally believe in it, like i believe in every fairy tale princess.

But when I saw the first page, for the first time, of this great epic, I was shocked as it just portrayed rude images of karma being a bitch.

I convinced myself by looking at a glorious picture of Shree Krishna in conversation with Arjun, as it was presented to me when I was kid. This picture was there but much later in the book. Being a dramatic Hindu, I thought it’s unfair, pehle toh Krishna ka photo hona chiye tha. But after reading first “aadhyay” I realised Geeta is not about Krishna or Arjun it’s about the great life lesson it wants to convey to people.

So I will tell you what I learnt from reading Geeta at the age of 21 and realising those facts at the age the of 28.

Lesson 1 – Most important – Karma is a bitch so be careful guys! In whatever you do or think. It’s going to come back to you in the same way.

Lesson 2 – Be nice to people. Every person is fighting their own battles. It’s not their fault the way they are today.

Lesson 3 – If you are strong and capable enough, help others to grow.

Lesson 4 – Have hope and dream to live longer and healthy.

Lesson 5 – Believe in your dreams and emotions.

Lesson 6 – Learn to forgive and forget, as we all know ignorance is bliss.

Lesson 7 – Never do anything half heartedly. That was the whole point of getting Geeta started. Arjun was not convinced for the war within family. But once he got answers to his question he could finish his job the way we all are aware about. If your heart & soul says something is not right listen to it and ask or act.

All of this came to my mind while sitting in a place where you see birth and death together Hospital. So
this world is a never-ending cycle of life and death, Everything else is in your hands. What you create, innovate, learn and make out of it.
